Young People Under 18
A Role For Young People: Participation
Young people have a very important voice in the running of Off the Record. We want to make sure that all our services give young people what they want and need and the best way to do that is by giving them a say. If you are interested there are a number of groups you could join.
One of the groups, the Youth Action Committee (YAC), meets in Bath every two weeks. They tell us what they think of our service and our plans. They also come up with ideas and suggestions of their own and do pieces of work for us. At the moment they are thinking about planning a fundraiser/party. Another group has been helping to redesign this web site.
There are other activities you can get involved in, such as helping to recruit staff and volunteers (training is provided). If you are involved in one of our specialist services, such as "Shout Out" or the Young Carers Service, you can also come to one of our newsletter groups and help put together or our two publications, written by and for young people.
As you can see there are lots of ways of getting involved! Whatever time or interests you have, if you want to take part we'd love to hear from you.
