"Jocelyne Takes the Helm at Youth Charity"
Report & picture from Bath Chronicle - Wednesday 29th April 2009
A city charity for young people has a new leader.
Experienced youth and community manager Jocelyne Tagg has taken over as director of Off the Record, which offers counselling and other projects across Bath and north east Somerset.
Ms Tagg has set up and managed youth projects, trained youth and community workers and been involved in a range of consultancy projects in both the statutory and voluntary sectors.
Off the Record's chairman Jon Doble said: "Jocelyne has a proven track record in organisational development and management involving young people.
"Off the Record is lucky to have her at the managerial helm."
The organisation is an independent charity offering information, support, advice and counselling for young people, with centres in Bath, Keynsham and Midsomer Norton.
Ms Tagg said: "I am both excited and honoured to be the new director at Off the Record.
"The organisation has an excellent reputation. I am looking forward to working with the staff and the young people who make Off the Record the relevant, meaningful and dynamic service provider that it is."
She replaces David Jones, who had been in the post for two and a half years.
A spokeswoman for the charity said Mr Jones had been responsible "for overseeing important and far-reaching changes to bring the organisation forward to face the new and difficult changes in the face of cuts in funding across the board, partly as a result of the credit crunch".
