Counselling Agreement
During your first appointment with a counsellor you will decide whether you want to arrange more counselling sessions. You will make an agreement with your counsellor. Usually this will be for at least six sessions. From then on you will need to discuss what your needs are and how long you would like to go on getting counselling.
What do people talk about?
Anything you want - it is up to you.
Sometimes the counsellor will offer you the chance to do something different, perhaps write or draw, whatever helps you say what you need to say and to express yourself safely.

- how the past has affected you
- how to overcome fear
- making a decision
- how to deal with bullies
- relationships with other people
- making changes
- feeling lonely or shy
- things that feel private and concern you
- sexual matters
- childhood
- sadness and loss
- eating
