Last year we supported 2,508 young people. Our volunteers are crucial to the work we provide for young people and their emotional health and wellbeing. The expertise and commitment they each bring to the young people they support enables us to have a hugely diverse range of support available.
Our Listening Support volunteers provide advice, support and guidance to young people aged 10-25 on any issue they would like support with. We provide full training and induction to the role and ongoing supervision.
Also, we are seeking volunteers to help with our youth groups – this will include attending group sessions and supporting with trips; previous trips have included Bath City Farm, bowling, boating trips and The Houses of Parliament.
If you’re interested in volunteering with us, join us at our Open Day on 29th June from 11am-2pm. The Open Day will give a relaxed introduction to volunteering at OTR, allow you to understand what OTR expects from you, as well as an opportunity to meet OTR staff and volunteers. Come along and see if volunteering at OTR is right for you! 😊
